Using natural wool and herringbone cotton ticking, Willey Winkle mattresses avoid exposing babies and young children who may be vulnerable to the problems attributed by synthetic bedding.
Cosy in cold weather, wool allows body heat and damp to disperse when conditions are hot and humid, it offers soft but firm support with superior comfort properties. It is inherently flame retardant and naturally resistant to water and stains.
For the best rest, no other range offers such traditional comfort. Our quality mattresses are hand made using traditional methods. Each mattress is expertly and neatly finished, Willey Winkle bedding is made with safety in mind. In addition to the wools own fire retardant properties and low dust content, we have paid particular attention to the problem of the house dustmite. Special finishes and treatments are available to cut down on the problems caused by this increasing pest especially important to asthma or allergy sufferers.
Why Wool?
Wool provides superior comfort properties, not only in cold conditions but also when it is hot and humid. Wool absorbs moisture away from the body without chilling, it's insulating comfort ensures even temperatures. The wool used is soft yet it's natural spring offers firm support which will last for years.
Why Herringbone Cotton?
Cotton is most natural of fibres wherever ventilation and hard wearing properties are demanded. Cotton lets the body breathe healthily during sleep or rest and is the perfect partner to compliment wool.
